One Card Post - A Beautiful '52

What:  1952 Bowman #56 - Clyde King
Where: COMC
How Much?:  $4.25

Why?:  To me, this is just about a perfect vintage baseball card.  Love the glasses, the bright background featuring a large wall advertisement and chain link fence, but most of all love getting a new vintage Brooklyn Dodgers card.  Little bit of wax staining on the back, but crease-free, vibrant, and well-centered.  An awesome addition to my ever-expanding collection of '50s Bowman...

Yeah... 52B gets my vote over 52T. Beautiful card.

Nice card! My first reaction was "Clyde King? The guy who managed the Braves?" To this kid who pored over 1975 cards, I always associate King with his little thumbnail on the Braves team card. He also managed the Giants and Yankees, FWIW.

"A tricky hurler who delights in fooling the batters." Wish they wrote statements like that on cards these days.

Awesome card! I've seen a few nice ones on COMC with that little bit of staining on the back.
