Why?: Picked this one up in November of 2018 on COMC, just getting around to featuring it now. I was honestly shocked to find one of Gwynn's three major rookie cards in a PSA 9 slab for just $15 and change. This guy does not get the hobby love that he deserves!
Got this from the same seller as the Boggs RC from this set I featured last year, in one fell swoop. Still haven't managed to track down a Sandberg to complete the trifecta. Certainly a card that's on the radar for later this year if I find the right bargain...

Once can argue this is his best rookie card. Swinging Friar on the front, minor league stats and a cool trivia question on the back. Topps went with a butt shot. So it's either Fleer or Donruss.
Wow. Nice pickup. It's kinda crazy how much his cards have shot up in the past few months. Best of luck tracking down the Sandberg.
