Not much time for blogging, busy weekend with the Super Bowl tonight and preparing for more snow (maybe a foot or so) here in New England. So, I'm sort of mailing it in this week with an autograph I picked up recently towards my new Norwich Navigators minor league baseball collection. They were a AA baseball team (for the Yankees) that briefly existed in the region of Connecticut where I grew up, so I've decided to track down as many Navigators cards as I can get my hands on.
Alfonso Soriano was the best player to log significant time with the team during his (rapid) ascent to Major League Baseball. Given that fact, this on-card autograph put out by Just Minors in 1999 will probably always be one of the top cards in my small Navigators collection. It was listed at $6.99 on eBay, however the seller accepted my low-ball offer of $3 flat. More than a fair deal in my estimation, and I love that the team logo is so prominent on Alfonso's helmet.
That's all for today, enjoy the Super Bowl folks. Go Pats!

Great deal. Fonzie had a pretty good career despite not being the most instinctive ballplayer ever.
Cool card. Yeah, I'm waiting for over a foot of snow here and basking in another Superbowl victory :)
