Pack Rip - 2015 Donruss Soccer

Nothing kills blog readership quite like a nice soccer card post, but I feel inspired due to the fact that my favorite Premier League team, Liverpool, currently sits atop the table 11 games into the season here.  Let's do this...

This is the second pack of 2015 Donruss soccer from the hobby box I picked up earlier this year.  8 cards per hobby pack...

Stephan El Shaarawy came up as a talented forward with A.C. Milan.  He scored his first Champions League goal with the club before his 20th birthday, becoming the youngest player in club history to do so.  Was bit by the injury bug for a couple seasons though, and is now playing with Roma after they bought out the remainder of his contract from Milan this past summer.

Two A.C. Milan cards to start the pack.  Montolivo is still with the team, and in fact has been serving as the captain for a few years now.

Speaking of captains, Sergio Ramos has been the captain of both Real Madrid and the Spanish National Team for quite some time now.  He first took the field with Real Madrid all the way back in 2005, and has played just shy of 350 career games with the club in the time since.

The first of two inserts in the pack, and the second consecutive Real Madrid card.  Casillas was the long-time keeper for the club, appearing in over 500 games between 1999 and 2015.  He's now playing in Portugal.

The other insert features one of the most well-known soccer players on the planet, Cristiano Ronaldo.  A Real Madrid fan would have been beyond excited with this pack; that's three in a row now.  Two packs into this box and I've already pulled a Messi and a Ronaldo, I'll take that!

Back to the base cards to finish out the pack here.  I definitely recall watching Hulk play for Brazil during the 2014 World Cup.

Here's another captain, Andres Iniesta of FC Barcelona.  He's been with the team since 2002, and with the Spanish National Team since he came of age in 2006.  Scored the winning goal of the 2010 World Cup final!

Moises Munoz plays for a Mexican team called America.  Confusing, I know.  That's all I have for tonight.  Two packs in nine months, I really should pick up the speed on this box.  Don't worry though, I'll be back with something baseball or hockey related tomorrow...
