As is typically the case, it's hard to believe that another year has passed as we prepare to turn our calendars to January. I didn't really set any strict goals for myself in 2014, so this is more of a benchmark post for myself on where my collection sits as 2014 comes to an end. I'll keep it short and sweet, and for the second straight year I've got a retrospective of scans featuring many of my favorite cards that were featured on the blog this past year.
Here's where my cataloged collection sits this December 31st, by the numbers:
Baseball - 16,682
Hockey - 16,410
Non-Sports - 266
Football - 120
Soccer - 94
Basketball - 78
Pretty steep drop-off there after baseball and hockey. Other items of note; up to 3,369 unique Red Sox cards, and 1,277 unique Whalers cards and counting. Probably my biggest accomplishment of the year was getting through the rest of my Panini Classics Signatures hockey autographs.
Alright, here are some of my favorite cards featured on the blog in 2014...
Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts on cardboard in 2014. Looking forward to what will be my 8th year of blogging in 2015...
